Infant Program
The Infant Program at White Oak Learning Academy centers on stimulating growth and development. Learning new skills helps infants gain independence and physical competencies. Our Pinnacle Curriculum helps build the skills necessary for positive growth and development.
The Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) for infants include the following areas, each of which White Oak Learning Academy's curriculum encompasses:
- Gross motor skills- these include gaining control of bodily movements, balance, and developing coordination
- Fine motor skills- these include movement of hands and fingers, and coordinating movement with eyes and hands
- Self-help skills- infants begin to take part in routines such as feedings, dressing, and other hygiene activities
- Health and safety skills- this refers to how infants responds either physical or verbal signs of danger
