Georgia Pre-K
Georgia's Pre-K program is an educational program funded by Georgia's lottery system with the goal of preparing students for Kindergarten. Teachers, using the Pinnacle Curriculum, provide students with learning and enrichment activities. Small group, large group, and center-based activities help students explore and experiment in the classroom. Georgia standards for this age group include seven curricular areas. These are:
- Language and Literacy
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Creative Expression
- Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
These standards correlate with the Kindergarten Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). Through a balance of teacher and child-directed instruction, students are encouraged to effectively think, reason, and communicate. Our supportive environment incorporates movement, hands-on activities, and language, which Georgia identifies as the essentials for learners in this age group.
Enrichment areas include:
- Creative arts
- Music/Movement
- Dramatic Play
- Blocks

- Outdoor activities
- Science/Sensory
