Meet The Staff
Kora Henry - Director
Kora brings over 31 years of childcare experience to our North Forsyth location. Before joining the White Oak family in 2011, she spent 23 years as a Director at two different corporate childcare facilities. She began in the industry as an afterschool teacher at the age of 16 and quickly decided that her love for children and their education was where she wanted to be. Since then she has served as a Two Year Old Teacher, Assistant Director, Director, and Executive Director for facilities in and around the Roswell and Alpharetta area. She has completed specialized training and has obtained a Director's Certificate and also holds an Associate's Degree in Management and Supervisory Development General Management Specialization. She is the mother of two children and is currently attending school for an Associate’s degree in early childcare education.
Jennifer Weltroth - Assistant Director
Jennifer has been with White Oak family since 2011 but brings the North Forsyth center over 8 years of early childcare experience. Jennifer’s previous experience included teaching children from toddlers to 3 year olds. She started her career at White Oak as a teacher, but when we had a need for an Assistant Director, she quickly stepped up to the plate. Jennifer has two children of her own and is expecting to add a new addition to her family in August. She loves being around children and could not see herself in any other profession. Her favorite aspect of White Oak is that the environment is like family and that the teachers genuinely love the children.
Susan Edwards - Office Manager
Susan Edwards has been with White Oak Academy since 2000 spending the first 12 years in our Dawsonville location. Susan’s experience has included bus driving services, cooking for the center, and teaching three year old classes. Prior to her moving to our North Forsyth location as the Office Manager, she was the Assistant Director at our Dawsonville location. Besides being a mother of two and grandmother of two, Susan is also attending school for an Associate’s degree in early childcare education. The greatest joy Susan gets at White Oak is when the children run up to her and hug for no reason, just to say hello.
