Meet The Staff

Jennifer Scranton

Jennifer Scranton - Director

Jennifer has been with the White Oak family as the Director of the Dawsonville location since 2012. Prior to joining, Jennifer had over 11 years experience in early childcare development. During this time Jennifer spent time as a 4 year old teacher and quickly moved into a director position at a center in North Carolina. She transferred to Georgia and spent 6 years as the Director of a KinderCare facility. She has completed specialized training and has obtained a Director's Certificate. Jennifer has two children of her own and dedicates her time outside of White Oak to her family. Her favorite aspect of White Oak Academy is having the opportunity to watch all the children around her grow.

Angie Carlisle

Angie Carlisle - Assistant Director

Angie started with the White Oak family in 2007. Before moving into the Assistant Director position, she was the centers bus driver and sub for all classes. Prior to White Oak, Angie started her career in childcare as an in-home nanny to two young children for 6 years. Angie has two children of her own and has completed an Associates degree in Business Administration from Gainesville State University. The greatest joy Angie receives from White Oak is watching the children grow through interaction with all of the staff and families.

Kim Jackson - Office Manager

Kim started with the White Oak family in 2004 at our Cumming location at the end of high school. While working there, she quickly realized the love she had for working with young children and moved into a lead teacher position in the 4 year old class. In 2008 she moved to the Dawsonville location as a toddler room teacher. Since then she has gained experience in each of our classrooms and most recently in the kitchen. Kim has two children and another on the way in June. The greatest joy Kim gets at White Oak is having the opportunity to watch children grow and learn in a fun and stimulating environment.
